I spend the whole month devising ways to wear enough clothes to stay warm, while still allowing me some range of movement. Picture the Michelin man, in purple.
The highlight of this winter, so far, has been my discovery of FLOX. They're fleece-lined tights, and they're warm enough that I only have to wear one pair under my jeans (or tracksuit pants), rather than the 2 pairs of woollen tights I'm usually in during July, which means I have to buy a size larger pants for winter than I do in summer. Every speing, I get compliments for losing weight. I haven't, it's just I'm wearing less layers.
There's a reason both my sons were conceived in summer! By the time I get out of my day clothes, and into my night clothes (in winter, swapping day tracksuit for night tracksuit), I've killed any thoughts of passion.
So, recently, I was awake in the wee hours of the morning. Trev & I both. So, I grabbed blanky, and went out to the loungeroom. This time of year, there's 6 different types of sport on all night, so there had to be somerthing to watch, right? Tennis, car racing, soccor (well, I wasn't that desperate!)....
Turned on the telly, flick flick flick....
hmmm, tennis is over, but they're still talking about it. Boring, maybe bed's a better option.
What's this? Up next? CRICKET! Woo hoo, we have a winner!
Trev, being by far the more sensible of the 2 of us, and needing to work the next morning, headed back to bed about 4am. I felt too guilty putting the heating on just for me, but I managed to wrap myself in my queen size mink blanky PERFECTLY so I was warm & comfy.
Really, I'd spend all winter in just this position if I could!
