So many things we do as parents start out under the heading "it seemed like a good idea..." and end up "What have we done??"
We had 2 of those moments this week.
As most of you know, Trev is the head cook in the Dare house.
And of course, what daddy does, Eli wants to do as well. A couple of weekends ago, Trev was doing his usual weekend cook up in preparation for the week ahead, and Eli wanted to help. So Trev gave him some potato peelings, a bit of water, a bowl and stirring sppon, and they were away. The end result being that now of course, whenever daddy cooks, Eli "cooks" too.

Flour, water, oats, potato peels, what a grand mess!!!
THEN, so that Daddy could actually get some cooking done, and a few other things as well, we introduced Eli to the Cars movie.
BIG MISTAKE!! He now wants to watch it every day. Of course.
And he likes to have one of us watching it with him, because some of the crashes are a bit scary. Which defeats the purpose of putting the movie on in the first place!

Here, he's sitting on his Cars chair (recent Christmas present from Granny Kay). Out of shot, he has turned his ride-on Mater truck (Christmas-before present from Granny Gwen) to face the TV so he could see it, and put the large Lightning McQueen car that Trev & I got him last Christmas on the lounge, so they could all watch together.
Another obsession created!
