The Coast

Canberra Day weekend- that means we headed off to the Coast with the Cox family.
This year we went down to Durra Beach, as it was closer to Batemans Bay than we were last year, which meant less time in the car! YAY!
We stayed in a little little place, but it had a pool!

Eli spent most of his time, standing on the side of the pool and jumping in. He thought shivering was HILARIOUS! Surely, this can't be a child of mine- splashing, jumping in a cold pool, and blue lips!
The pool was badly designed, so he didn't do much of his "Kings" training, but learnt lots of new bad habits!
Donna won't be impressed!
Daddy had a ball as well, swimming with Eli (trying to show Eli Brenty swimming, he wasn't impressed!).
He spent an afternoon body surfing at the beach with Jacob, and came back sore and chafed.
A very interesting walk the next day!
Think John Wayne.

Jacob loved it as well- there was a beach!
He spent most of his time down there, body boarding.
I think he spent most of his other time at the Cox cabin-
I suspect they had more treats in there than we did!

Here, Tomson was submerging, then popping up next to Eli, which he thought was great!
He was still talking about it in his sleep last night! "Godma, look at Tomson! That's a bit funny!"

The few times Eli went to the beach, he went back to being our precious one. He wouldn't touch the sand until Trev had moulded him a chair, then they built castles together.
I went to the beach one morning, but it was miserable!
When it strted raining, that was the end for me- I think I lasted half an hour.
But, I did go in the pool. Once. And yes Jenni, I did a submersion! Then hopped out!

Here is Eli and Ethan with some other kids from the park, on the slide.
Next year, Stu & Roz are picking where we go.
