January update

OK, so it's mid-February, but here's a few bits and pieces to catch you up.

First off, I have so few pics of Jacob these days- he's developed an aversion to cameras, and when I do get a photo, he's often pulling a stupid face. here is my recent favourite, of him and Granny at Christmas. He is now 6 foot tall, and growing at a vast rate of knots.
Roz T gave Eli 2 sets of foam puzzle things for Christmas, that link together to make things. Each square has its own puzzle within, 10 with numbers, 10 with vehicles, and as the pic shows, they link together as well. He's had a ball with them, and Daddy's had almost as much fun. He's sitting in one of Daddy's many castles- I'm too lazy, I do the individual puzzles, but not much making!
We've had competitons to see out of the big people can put together all 20 puzzles the quickest- of course Trev one, but the big shock is I came 2nd and Jacob last. His spacial skills are worse than mine, which I didn't think was possible.
The last photo is Eli standing in front of his "huge castle- so high- bigger than Eli- up to the roof!" Another Roz T special (she's great with kids presents!) Duplo often keeps him busy. Its his favourite plaything, after balls, cricket bat & stumps, trucks, and Daddy.
Eli has started showing interest in wees on the toilet again. He was going great guns late last year, then decided he'd mastered that trick and he'd rather fill his nappy, but the past couple of days he's wee-d on the toilet each time I've changed his nappy, and done one wee on the carpet. If I had floor boards, he'd be in undies all day and we'd make a concerted effort to toilet train, so at the mintue we're just going between changes. He's not at the point when he tells me beforehand, I have to ask and he says yes, or that he's "empty". He also only tells me his bowels are working after the fact, but it's a great first step. This weekend we take down the cot, and he will move into the big boy bed!
