Week 1, Day 1-3:
Hmm, Dad seems to have walked me over to our friends' house, and left me here.
In-ter-est-ing (as Mum says).
Clearly the recent talking & packing for hol-i-dayz doesn't include me.
So, dog holiday is to be spent with the Dares. The Dares consist of Kasey, and her 3 family pet peoples:
1) My Favourite (he takes me for walks, feeds me, & throws the ball- which I don't chase, but I chase Kasey while she chases it)
2) The Little One- a good source of unexpected food. Kasey & I are actually instructed to clean up under the table after he eats! He sometimes has this yummy stuff on his fingers, which is buttery & crunchy, but my pet peoples aren't allowed to have it, apparently. Must investigate further.
3) The Pretty One- can be grumpy in the mornings, but she tops up my water dish, gave me some blankets, so she's alright. Doesn't seem to appreciate my organisational skills, or bodily aromas, though- when I release my belly bubble, she manically sprays the room with this sweet stuff. That's OK though, I roll in it when it hits the carpet.
They're a funny mob, Kasey's pet peoples.
The first weekend, it was raining, and every time I went out to check & explore, they yelled at me to get back inside. In-ter-est-ing, the complete opposite to what happens at home with my pet peoples.
And they have these magic doors, that Kasey & I go through to go inside and outside, whenever we want!
So we did, all night long.
In, out, in, out, in, out, in out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out!!! It was AWESOME!!!
When the rain stopped, I went and lay in the mud with Kasey, as pictured above.
Then, I reorganised the wine barrel, it was far too neat, didn't match the rest of the yard.
Now, to start with, they even let me sleep inside!
Then, on the 2nd night, I left a little puddle to remind me to go back and explore tomorrow, and we've been moved outside! So, I reorganised some cushions.
The Pretty One grumped (she's just not appreciative!), just a little bit (it was a cushion I'd started last time I was here) and picked it all up and put it in a HUGE garbager bag. Gave me some boring things to play with. Pft.
AND closed the magic doors!
Days 4-7
Holy dog poo!
There's another one.
I think.
This strange pet people that I've never seen before, wandered in, from.... somewhere.... sort of grunts at everyone, then disappears.... somewhere...
In-ter-est-ing....
He smells..... in-ter-est-ing
Must explore more. He seems to make short appearances, arriving & leaving through the back door.
Must find out where Smelly One goes!
My Favourite has moved my house onto the back verandah. Convenient, can just wander over & nibble the mattress at will. Best time is when Kasey's sleeping on it, because then she'll play tugga-war for ages!
He even put my cushion in it! But, I thought I should reorganise, the yard was looking a bit bare, all tidy and all....
All this cool green stuff was inside! We played for HOURS!!
But, my cushion just isn't as soft and plushy as it was....
Hmm, need to find something else.
The rope & towel we've been told to play with are just boring!
SCORE- the Smelly One lives in a CAVE!
When you first go in, it smells, kinda... girly, like Mum & the Pretty One, but when you go into the dark bit, IT ROCKS! He even had a big yellow garbage bag full of lolly wrappers & drink containers, all sorts of awesome things for me & Kasey to play with. I miss my family, but these people ROCK!
The Pretty One was a bit grumpy again though, but it's OK, I showed her I can still find somewhere to get comfy....
These people are cool, but I miss my pets.....

You wanted him! And you said he was fine. It sounds a bit like when you say you love Benny coming over and whilst he is there he trashes your lounge room and Eli's room and then digs a hole to china! And then you say oh he was lovely! Crazy! Glad you are enjoying him!
Jenn, he is so much fun, and so funny!! He's gorgeous, even if they both make a mess! Ethan & Connor came across yesterday, and Barkley "spoke" to Ethan the whole way across the yard. He has us in stitches, and we ARE loving having him!
