Ben & Shower

D'you remember what it's like to be young and just enjoy life, no matter how simple what you're doing is?

I think that's the best thing about having a 2 year old is the reminder that the simplest things really are the best. Who needs fancy toys and things with batteries? Nothing beats a shower!!

Eli LOVES having a shower, and spends as much time cleaning the shower as he does cleaning himself. He just loves bubbles. And afterwards, he likes being wrapped tightly in a towel, so he can jump up and down until it unrolls. When he's using the red towel Aunty Sandy gave him for Christmas, he looks a bit like a Masai warrier- except white!

He also loves In the Night Garden. This is his favourite jumper of the minute- I don't know how I'll get it off him long enough to wash! IgglePiggle, UpsyDaisy, MakkaPakka, the PontiPines, the Whattingers, the Tombliboos.... wherever Eli is when it comes on, is where he is when it finishes. If I need a long shower, or to clean the toilet, or do something without Eli "helping", I do it at 9 o'clock, when Night Garden is on. Lovely.

Now, I make it a habit NOT to have pics of other people's children on my blog- privacy, etc- but I HAVE to show these 2 pics.

1) Because Ben's Mum blogs
2) To let mu neighbours see the beautiful child that I WAS NOT skinning, boiling, or partaking in any kind of sacrificial rite, despite the noises coming from him when his Mum left him with us today.See Jenni, he really did have fun!!
