Birthdays, Grannies & Nannas

Nanna Kerry came to visit! YAY!!

Nanna Kerry is Jacob's Dad's Mum, and she lives in sunny Qld, and we don't get to see nearly enough of her.

She and Jacob had a great time catching up, and like everybody else, she was surprised with how tall he's getting and how fast he's growing up.
Jacob started his first job just before the last school holidays, and is now working at Target. He mostly likes it, though not when it's quiet. He LOVES having his own money to spend!!!

Eli is likewise growing up too fast. Both boys had their birthdays last week- or "Happy Blue-skies" as Eli says. Jacob turned 15, and Eli turned 2.
They were both spoilt!
As well as his trip to Sydney for World Youth Day, Jacob was given shorts, t shirts, a sign for his "Hoggle", a HUGE basket of chocolate from Darryl Lea, a game of Yahtzee, and other bits n pieces.
Eli was given a new golf shirt & shorts, and a new rashie & board shorts from Granny Kay & Poppa; a gorgeous table & chairs from Granny Gwen, books and puzzles, clothes, toys, a REALLY annoying puppy that sings and dances from Godma Rozzie, and a Macka Packa from Aunty Deb, that he carries ABSOLUTELY everywhere.
Granny Gwen came to visit and stayed almost a week (NOT NEARLY LONG ENOUGH) and we put on one of our famous cold snaps just for her! We had a lovely family BBQ, with lots of kids & cake, and another October is just about over. Time to start getting SERIOUSLY organised (panicked) about Christmas!
